Hands-on learning experiments and teaching key vocabulary are what my first grade students connect to, so I feel they are strengths.

Speaking for 4th grade, what is working is that we are hitting all of the indicators in our current COS. We all use inquiry-based instruction weekly in our classrooms.

Full Day Kindergarten switches classes for 10 science lessons. Each teacher becomes an expert for 2 lessons and we rotate classes for 10 weeks. We began this process by making sure all of our lessons were aligned to the standards. The children love this and really looked forward to Thursdays.
