Resource Materials - Fall 2009


During the summer months, I will contact science publishers so we can built in time during release days to examine resource materials. As a team, we will determine if these materials are aligned with your 2022 vision and the academic standards, benchmarks, and indicators.

Delaware Science Coalition Summative Assessments

Here is the resource link some of you were asking about. I noticed the summative assessments are posted for you to see. Feel free to look at the different grades. My group specifically focused on a third grade assessment called "Earth Materials". I see that these are in the process of being published. However, a great resource to look at. You'll notice that students are required to write a great deal in science - something Jackie discussed today as an area where our students need to improve.

Dear K-5 Science Team:

Welcome! June 4, 2009 is the start of our K-5 science course of study revision journey. Thank you for saying "yes" to this learning opportunity. Our students will benefit greatly from your talents and passion for 21st century best practice science instruction.
